I was wondering if anyone knows if the girls heartbeat rate is supposed to be high or low?

The wives tale is that Boys are above 120 and the girls are under 120, BUT my babies heart rate was always at 160 or so, and when we had our ultrasound we found out we're having a girl! so much for that theory, My husbands friend had the same thing happen to him. Even the Doctor told him that the heart rate was high and that is usually a boy... but he had a daughter also!

A fetal heartbeat should be between 120 and 160. The wivestale that I heard was that boys are closer to 120 and girls were closer to 160. So laura, that would be right for you!

Isn't that funny, the first time I looked, I found sites supporting boys being higher, and girls being lower... but this time its the opposite! My mom had four girls, and says she remembers, because my sisters are only 10, that thier heart rates were always around 110
